The voice of Ruby and Choe Parks used to be very active on social media until deleting their Instagram account about a year ago. But they’re back with a new album and a new name.

Lo, formally Charlyne Yi, made the announcement on Bandcamp on March 1 and explained that they’ve been going by their “nonbinary, decolonized Filipinx name, Lo” for the past year. They said Lo is short for Lolo, which means “grandpa” in Tagalog.

There’s also a new album on Bandcamp featuring the song “Charlyne is Dead, Long Live Lo,” along with five other songs titled “Trouble”, “Shoes”, “Easter eggs”, “Lucy” and “Shoeburt.”

Lo’s old Instagram page also made a return, featuring several calls for action and artworks which can also be found on their website, which still uses the old URL Charlyne-Yi.com
