Lo (formally Charlyne Yi) returned to social media on Tuesday to speak out against the creators of “Time Bandits,” an upcoming remake of a 1981 film.
“I was physically assaulted multiple times by an actor, as well as psychologically abused,” said Lo in an Instagram post.

In addition to that, Lo says the human resources department were dismissive and pressured Lo to “leave with integrity” before even conducting an investigation.
Lo said they are not usually suicidal, but that their treatment during the show made them feel that way and that they were coerced to quit.
Lo also had to deal with a severe back injury during production, which they said was so painful they could barely stand. Lo said the abuse also caused flashbacks, nightmares and anxiety so severe that they began losing their hair. In spite of all of that, said Lo, the company denied their workers’ compensation. Lo showed screen grabs from a text conversation with their doctor in which the doctor said Lo’s injuries are normally only seein in people who work jobs lifting heavy objects around.
Having already parted ways with their manager, Lo said they are also searching for a lawyer. Lo said they just wanted to heal in peace, but they consider the studio’s refusal of their worker’s compensation to be continuation of its abuse of power.
