Designers who have registered as a business will soon have a chance to sell their Minecraft creations with Mojang’s new “Minecraft Marketplace.”
On April 10, Mojang announced it will be incorporating a new market system within the game its self which allows players to spend “Minecraft coins,” which seem to work similarly to Pokécoins with Pokémon Go. Players will be able to use these coins to buy skins, maps and other content, not just from Mojang but also from other creators.
Mapmakers and skin editors will have to apply with Mojang with their business and tax documents as well as portfolios.
Mojang will be compiling a FAQ and will also host a Reddit AMA on April 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
