For weeks now, WWE has been teasing the return of Uncle Howdy with “glitching” QR codes that lead to videos and cryptic messages. The latest seems to tease an unknown event which should take place this Thursday. But one eagle-eyed member of the Firefly Funhouse Fan Group on Facebook thinks he might have spotted him early.
During the opening on Raw as Drew McIntyre stood on the ringbuckle, the cameras panned out for an ariel shot as spotlights shone around in the dark crowd. For just a moment, the cameras shone down on a lone figure with long, pale hair and a dark coat.
There’s not enough resolution to know if this really was the Uncle Howdy character or a pale-haired person in a black coat who just cut an eerie aura in the blue light, but it would be perfectly in keeping with the character to include more difficult to spot easter eggs.
