Legend of Total War concluded his last round of livestreams on New Years Day, ending a multi-night charity event raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network. Although he did leave open the possibility he might return to Total War streaming one day, he said this was very unlikely and it would take several years if it did happen.

Legend cited multiple problems within the community, and their adverse effect on his mental health, as his motivation for leaving. He floated the possibility of creating a new channel focusing on a different game, but made no guarantees. He’s stated in previous livestreams that he’s already saved enough money to retire and doesn’t necessarily need a new source of income to supplement his investments.

For 15 years, Legend of Total War has been the industry expert on how to play any Total War game, especially Total War: Warhammer II and III. Viewers for his livestreams constantly numbered in the thousands, dwarfing that of any other Total War streamer. Fans were constantly impressed with his encyclopedic knowledge of the games functions and visited his stream for tips on their own campaigns.

Fans also tuned in to Legend’s “Saving your Disaster Battle” and “Saving your Disaster Campaign” series for tips on what not to do. During these series, Legend played from other players’ uploaded save files and usually gave a brief explanation on what the players did right or wrong in army composition and economy management.

Legend further set himself apart with his multiple “No-Defeat” campaigns. Starting near the end of Total War: Warhammer II, before the release of Warhammer III, Legend defeated every other faction in the game on Legendary difficulty without even a single defeat during the entire campaign.

At the end of his Jan. 1, stream, Legend shared the numbers for his charity streams. Throughout his career, the Legend Community donated over $100,000 d for the various charity projects and the last charity marathon raised over $20,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network. One user donated $5,000.
